We follow Emmet (Chris Pratt), an average construction worker who soon finds himself plucked from the normalities of city life and put into an inter-world adventure as he and Wild Style (Elizabeth Banks) try to defeat the malicious mastermind President Business (Will Ferrell). With cameos from the likes of Jonah Hill, Allison Brie, and Morgan Freeman, anyone from anywhere can appreciate the cast of this film. It’s apparent that the geniuses behind this production took some risks, but those risks paid off. The old and young alike will find themselves laughing at the jokes made. At a time where going to the movies can cost a single person nearly $30, I would recommend a splurge, and give yourself a well-deserved treat. Movies like this are hard to come by around this time of year, so don’t make yourself wait a grueling six months until it comes out on DVD. - Ashley French
